  • Namiyoke Shrine (guardian shrine for the market and its traders)

*Effective June 1, 2015, Tsukiji Fish Market has banned guide-led tours into the inner market. The guide can show you around the outer market and take you to the entrance of the inner market, but the guide has to either wait outside or walk in distance.

Meiji Jingu

Meiji Jingu Shrine

Tokyo’s largest Shinto shrine established in 1920 to enshrine Meiji Emperor and the Empress Shoken. Meiji Emperor is the first Emperor of modernized Japan after the Meiji Restoration in 1868. The shine is famous for the large wooden Tori Gate. Many wedding ceremonies are held at the shrine and visitors may be able to come across a traditional wedding procession led by a Shinto priest.
